Comment from Yasuo Deguchi, Co-chairperson of KIP
The Kyoto Institute of Philosophy is currently building an international network of leading researchers across various fields, as well as diverse social stakeholders interested in philosophy, and, more broadly, the humanities and social sciences. By entering into this comprehensive partnership agreement, we hope that young researchers from Kyoto University will actively engage with our network, using it as a springboard to make their mark on the world and society.
Comment from Jun Sawada, Co-chairperson of KIP
The world today is facing serious divisions and rapid transformations. In an era where we must consider not just simple economic growth but also sustainability and overall societal well-being, scientific and technological advances alone are insufficient. Accordingly, collaboration with the humanities and social sciences is becoming ever more critical. Through this comprehensive partnership agreement, we hope to combine the strengths of both Kyoto University and the Kyoto Institute of Philosophy, promoting exchange and collaboration between university researchers across diverse fields and industry, and thereby contributing to a better society.
