The New Year special issue of the business magazine Zaikai (published on December 10) featured an interview with Jun Sawada, Chairman of NTT and Co-chairperson of the Kyoto Institute of Philosophy. The article also introduced the Institute's initiatives, including the Inaugural Kyoto Conference.

Zaikai is a biweekly economic journal covering corporate management trends and the latest industry topics. The New Year special issue opened with a ten-page lead feature titled “NTT Chairman Jun Sawada's Theory of a Multilayered Society of Values,” consisting of a feature article and a Q&A-style interview. In the feature, Chairman Sawada discussed the background that led to the Institute's founding, the positive response and challenges encountered at the Kyoto Conference, and elaborated on his management philosophy, with “publicness” and “corporate nature” as key concepts.
